Lewis & Clark Interpretive Association
Lewis & Clark Interpretive Association

The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Association serves as the parent organization for the Portage Cache Store. The LCIA works in conjunction with the USDA Forest Service, the National Park Service, Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks, and other partners to enhance the learning experience about the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

The National Park Service serves as the steward for the Trail. Information about visitor facilities, publications, and a Web-based Junior Ranger page are available.

The Foundation is the nation's oldest organization dedicated to the story of Lewis & Clark. Their mission includes stewardship and preservation along the Trail, as well as education and research. The Foundation also publishes the quarterly journal, We Proceeded On.

Western Heritage Artists Association

Western Heritage Artists Association

The Western Heritage Artist Association, located in Great Falls, is formed by artists for the promotion of artists and fine art. The Western Heritage Artist Show is held the 3rd week in March every year and occurs simultaneously with the C.M. Russell Art Show & Auction. A portion of the proceeds from the Western Heritage Artists show are donated to educational activites of the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Association.
