Recently, some Internet Explorer users have experienced problems during checkout. More detailed information, and a fix for the problem, can be found here.

Unfortunately, Microsoft has not yet issued the fix to this problem as an automatic Windows update. This means that the fix available at the above URL is one which will require users to manually install it. While it is unclear exactly when the fix will be made available in an automatic update, it's at least more likely that it will when a new service pack update is released.

All completed orders are shipped within five to seven business days. We generally ship via UPS Ground. Additional services are available for additional cost; please contact us for details.

International Orders: Shipping rates overseas are calculated on an individual basis. Please contact us before you place your order.

Item Availability: All items are in stock and ready to ship. Items that are temporarily out of stock are indicated. Please check back, or e-mail us at, to check on future availability.

Back Order: If we are unable to ship your order in the time frame indicated, we will send you an e-mail. You may choose to wait for the item, or cancel the item by responding to our e-mail.

Address Verification: For your protection the Portage Cache Store checks the billing information you provide against your credit card profile. To avoid delay in the shipment of your order please ensure that your billing address precisely matches the name, address and phone number on file with your credit card company.

If the billing information provided does not match what is on file with the credit card provider, your order will be held until we can verify that you are the authorized card user. The billing address for your credit card is usually the address to which your bill is mailed.

Return Policy: The following Return Policy applies for purchases made from The Portage Cache Store. You may return a product by mail or by hand delivering it to our address above.

Retail Customers please note: Because the Portage Cache Store is a non-profit operation, we are unable to provide wholesale discounts to customers who wish to re-sell items they have purchased from us. We will, however, be happy to provide vendor information so that you may contact them directly. Please e-mail or phone us for more information.

100% Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not completely satisfied with your new purchase for any reason, simply return the item to us for an exchange for a similar item of same value, or refund, within thirty (30) days from the date of purchase of merchandise upon the terms and conditions described in this Return Policy.

To obtain a refund, please include a copy of your receipt of purchase. Items returned without a receipt, can be exchanged for other merchandise. The exchange price will be the lowest sale price within the previous three (3) months. Please note that shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

Please allow fifteen (15) days from merchandise return for refund.

Return Instructions: Please follow these instructions prior to returning an item to the Portage Cache Store:

Returns shipped Collect on Delivery (C.O.D.) or postage due will not be accepted. Please do not send us items that do not meet these conditions, as we do not issue refund or exchange for non-qualifying items and cannot return the items to you.

Damaged Merchandise: To protect your shipment against damage, all items are shipped insured. Damaged merchandise refers to damages incurred in transit. Always inspect your package(s) immediately upon receipt. A package that appears to be intact from the outside is not always a true indication that the contents are also intact. Inspecting your package also means that you must open it and inspect the merchandise inside. If your item is damaged, please retain the original packaging and contact the shipper for inspection. They will notify us of the damage and a new item will be shipped to you within five (5) days of notification. If the item is no longer available, or out of stock, we will notify you by e-mail to see if you would like to wait or if you would prefer a refund.

If a shipment is delivered to you in a damaged condition, it is your responsibility to report this damage to the shipper within twenty-four (24) hours of merchandise receipt.
